“The perfectly designed bicycle should put your body in the best loaded position; this is what I call the optimal preloaded position. With preloading you approach the bicycle as the link between you and the road with the angles and specs of your bicycle dramatically impacting you to be a better cyclist. I have not found one bicycle on the market that provides this solution…that is why I had to start making bicycles.”
~Dr. Rich Protasiewicz, Jr.
Designed for competitive cyclists and enthusiasts alike Dr. Rich Protasiewicz, Jr. founded Serenity Bikes with one focus in mind…create a bicycle that makes cyclist naturally better.
“Cycling is a weight bearing sport no matter what anyone else claims, your spine loads, your knees load, as does your ankles and feet. Biomechanics is not achieved without neurology…this is where the foundation of Neuro-Biomechanics (for bicycle design) was born.” ~Dr. Rich Protasiewicz, Jr.
Dr. Protasiewicz accomplished his vision by using what is the key to all human performance; the human nervous system.Three years ago (2008) his research proved to him that the human nervous system is bound by rules: gravity, pressure and angles.
“Angles create pressure when you are on a bicycle...this all impacts something called "proprioreception". This is true for all angles: seat tube, head tube, fork rake, you name it. The angles (head tube and seat tube) of every Serenity Bicycle are the same because they have to be, we take in account fork rakes and fore-aft position to customize the ride to the rider…the bicycle has to adapt to the rider and not the other way around. I do not know any bicycle that adapts to the rider other than a Serenity bicycle.” ~Dr. Rich Protasiewicz, Jr.
The angles of all Serenity Bikes create neurologic-loading in relationship to the joints of the human body. These angles; Dr. Protasiewicz found, improve linear pedaling, increase core pedaling, relax the shoulders and low back, and “close” the pelvis improving cycling posture.
“If you are 5’2” or 6’2” the angles of your joints are almost identical. The human body is bound by angles and how those angles create movement for cycling or any other sport. Gravity plays a role too, your body “loads” differently if bent over a bicycle vs. walking down the street.” ~Dr. Rich Protasiewicz, Jr.
One year and counting! Serenity bicycle riders have shown (in competition) that building bicycles using identical angles works. 2 world records, over 50 national medals and countless state titles bring merit to our singular focus. Just wait until our complete bicycle line is on the market.
“No one believed me when I told them I was building a bicycle brand let alone one based on the human nervous system. One idea, one thought, a ton of sweat and not stopping until you reach your goal…sounds like a normal day in the mindset of a cyclist, the same goes for the guy creating the future thinking in bicycle manufacturing.” ~Dr. Rich Protasiewicz, Jr.
