The Bryton Conversion Kit replaces the back mount on the Rider S500, S510, and S800 with a Garmin quarter-turn compatible interface, allowing you to use any Garmin-compatible mount with your Bryton computer. This is the practical solution for riders who already have Garmin mounts on their bikes — whether out-front mounts, stem mounts, or third-party mounts with a Garmin interface — and want to run a Bryton computer without buying Bryton-specific mounts for every bike. It's also useful for riders switching from Garmin to Bryton who want to reuse their existing mount infrastructure.
Installation involves removing the existing Bryton back mount using four standard screws and replacing it with the conversion kit back plate. No special tools are required beyond a standard screwdriver or hex key. Once installed, the Bryton computer clicks into any Garmin quarter-turn compatible mount with the standard quarter-turn mechanism. Note: this kit is compatible with the Rider S500, S510, and S800 only — it is not compatible with other Bryton Rider series models. For standard Bryton mounts compatible with the full Rider range, see the Bryton Bike Mount, Bryton Sport Mount, and Bryton Race Mount. Browse the full Bryton range or our computers and GPS collection.
Which Bryton models is this compatible with?
The Conversion Kit is compatible with the Bryton Rider S500, S510, and S800 only. It is not compatible with the Rider 550, 650, or other Rider series models. If you have a different Bryton model, use the standard Bryton Bike Mount, Sport Mount, or Race Mount.
What Garmin mounts will it work with?
The kit makes the Bryton computer compatible with any mount that uses the standard Garmin quarter-turn interface — including Garmin's own out-front mounts, stem mounts, and the vast range of third-party mounts (K-Edge, Wahoo, Zefal, etc.) that use the Garmin quarter-turn standard. It will not work with non-quarter-turn mount systems.
How do I install it?
Remove the existing Bryton back mount from the computer using four standard screws (a small Phillips or hex screwdriver). Attach the conversion kit back plate in its place using the same four screws. The computer will then click into any Garmin quarter-turn compatible mount with the standard quarter-turn mechanism. The process takes a few minutes and requires no special tools.
Can I switch back to the original Bryton mount after installing this kit?
Yes — the conversion is reversible. Keep the original Bryton back mount and screws, and you can swap back at any time using the same four screws. This makes it practical to switch between Bryton and Garmin mount systems as needed.
