The Bryton Rider S510 is the premium model in the Bryton range — stepping above the Rider 650 with Climb Challenge 2.0, voice search navigation, automatic offline rerouting, and virtual ride simulation. Available as a Device Only or as a Sensor Bundle including a Smart Speed Sensor, Cadence Sensor, and Heart Rate Monitor, it's built for cyclists who want the most capable Bryton computer available. The 2.8-inch colour touchscreen with adaptive backlight delivers clear visibility in all conditions, and battery life is up to 30 hours.
The headline upgrade over the Rider 650 is Climb Challenge 2.0 — which provides real-time elevation data and ascent insights for any ride, not just preloaded routes. This means you get gradient profiles, remaining climb distance, and elevation data even on spontaneous rides without a pre-planned route imported. Voice search supports over 100 languages for hands-free destination entry while riding. Automatic offline rerouting recalculates your route without a phone connection when you go off-course — a meaningful practical upgrade over the Rider 650's navigation. Preloaded OpenStreetMap (OSM) maps include cyclist-relevant points of interest such as bike shops and water stops. For indoor training, the S510 adds Virtual Ride simulation alongside ANT+ FE-C smart trainer control. It's compatible with the Bryton Gardia 300L radar for on-screen vehicle alerts, and supports Shimano Steps and ANT+ LEV e-bike platforms. Data syncs automatically to Strava, TrainingPeaks, and Komoot via the Bryton Active App.

What is the difference between the Rider S510 and the Rider 650?
The S510 adds three key features over the Rider 650: Climb Challenge 2.0 (which works on any ride, not just preloaded routes), voice search navigation in 100+ languages, and automatic offline rerouting without a phone connection. It also adds Virtual Ride simulation for indoor training. The Rider 650 has a slightly longer battery life (33hr vs 30hr). Choose the Rider 650 if you don't need these specific upgrades; choose the S510 if Climb Challenge 2.0, voice search, or offline rerouting are important to you.
What is Climb Challenge 2.0 and how is it different from the standard Climb Challenge?
Standard Climb Challenge (on the Rider 650) requires a preloaded route to generate gradient profiles and elevation data. Climb Challenge 2.0 on the S510 works on any ride — it generates real-time gradient, remaining climb distance, and elevation data even on spontaneous rides without a pre-planned route. This makes it significantly more useful for riders who don't always plan routes in advance.
How does voice search work?
Voice search allows you to speak a destination name or address directly into the device while riding, without needing to type on the touchscreen. It supports over 100 languages, making it practical for riding in unfamiliar areas or abroad. The device processes the voice input and navigates to the destination using the preloaded OSM maps.
Is it compatible with the Bryton Gardia radar?
Yes — the Rider S510 is compatible with the Bryton Gardia 300L Rear Light & Radar, displaying approaching vehicle alerts on the touchscreen so you can monitor traffic without looking behind you.
