The COROS Bike Speed Sensor is a compact, hub-mounted speed sensor that delivers accurate speed and distance data without relying on GPS — making it particularly useful for indoor training, tunnels, urban riding with poor satellite coverage, and any situation where GPS-derived speed is unreliable or unavailable. It mounts to the front or rear wheel hub, connects via Bluetooth to compatible COROS watches, bike computers, smartphones, and training apps, and runs for up to 12 months on a single CR2032 battery.
Hub-mounted speed sensors work by detecting wheel rotation and calculating speed and distance from your wheel circumference — a method that is more consistent and responsive than GPS speed, particularly at low speeds, during acceleration, and in environments where GPS signal is degraded. The sensor is IP67 water-resistant, making it suitable for all-weather riding without concern about rain or spray. Installation is tool-free and takes a few minutes — the sensor clips to the wheel hub and pairs to your device via Bluetooth. The CR2032 battery is widely available and easy to replace when needed. Note: this sensor uses Bluetooth only and is not ANT+ compatible — check your device's connectivity before purchasing.

Is it compatible with non-COROS devices?
Yes — the COROS Bike Speed Sensor connects via standard Bluetooth and is compatible with most Bluetooth-enabled bike computers, smartwatches, and training apps including Zwift, TrainerRoad, and others. It is not ANT+ compatible, so devices that only support ANT+ (without Bluetooth) will not work with this sensor.
Why use a speed sensor if my watch or computer already has GPS?
GPS speed can be unreliable at low speeds, during rapid acceleration, in tunnels, in urban environments with tall buildings, and indoors. A hub-mounted speed sensor measures wheel rotation directly, providing more consistent and responsive speed data in these situations. Many cyclists use both GPS and a speed sensor together for the most complete data.
How do I install it?
The sensor clips to the hub of your front or rear wheel — no tools required. Once mounted, pair it to your device via Bluetooth in the sensor settings menu. You'll need to enter your wheel circumference in your device settings for accurate distance calculation.
How long does the battery last and how do I replace it?
The CR2032 battery provides up to 12 months of use. When it needs replacing, simply open the battery compartment on the sensor and insert a new CR2032 cell, which is widely available from supermarkets and electronics retailers.

In some cases, we may ship items out with another courier, depending on the status and availability of items ordered. (Customers will not be charged more and will be refunded any unused postage cost) If part of an order is cancelled and the total drops below the £50.00 free postage, a postage charge may be taken.
Delivery costs will be clearly stated on the checkout page, though you will need to register (to provide your delivery address) in order to see the delivery costs.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
