The Crank Brothers Mallet E Speedlace MTB Shoes are engineered to elevate your mountain biking experience, combining performance and comfort for long rides and challenging terrain. Designed to perfectly complement Crankbrothers pedal ranges, these shoes feature a stiff shank that ensures efficient power transfer with every pedal stroke. Whether you're tackling technical trails or hike-a-bike sections, the Mallet E delivers reliable traction thanks to its ramped toe and grippy tread pattern.
Constructed with durable materials, the upper includes a Speedlace system and strap for quick, secure adjustments, along with a lace pocket that keeps everything neat and safe. Ventilated windows with perforated mesh maintain breathability, while TPU reinforcements guard against abrasion and impacts. The padded tongue and heel dots enhance comfort and stability, ensuring your foot stays locked in place during intense rides.
The outsole is optimized for any MTB pedal, featuring the Match Box design that facilitates easy clip-in and clip-out while clearing mud effectively. Pre-installed crankbrothers match shim and cleat let you hop on and ride straight away, or switch to any SPD cleat by removing the shim. The MC1 mid-friction compound allows smooth pedal release, while directional toe and heel lugs provide excellent traction when hiking. A cushioned EVA midsole absorbs shocks, making these shoes perfect for all-day adventures.
How do I choose the right size for these shoes?
The Mallet E shoes use a USA last but sized based on UK normal shoe sizing. The range runs true to size, so select your usual UK size without sizing up. Sizes are available from 4 to 13, with half sizes from 5.5 to 11.5.
Are these shoes compatible with pedals other than Crankbrothers?
Yes, they come with a Match Box optimized outsole for Crankbrothers pedals but can be used with any SPD cleats by removing the pre-installed match shim.

In some cases, we may ship items out with another courier, depending on the status and availability of items ordered. (Customers will not be charged more and will be refunded any unused postage cost) If part of an order is cancelled and the total drops below the £50.00 free postage, a postage charge may be taken.
Delivery costs will be clearly stated on the checkout page, though you will need to register (to provide your delivery address) in order to see the delivery costs.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
