Experience exceptional durability and precision with the Enduro Bearings T47 External Bottom Bracket, crafted specifically for T47 framesets. This high-performance bottom bracket features angular contact bearings made from 440C stainless steel, renowned for its superior corrosion resistance and longevity. Designed to withstand harsh environments and frequent exposure to moisture, it’s the ideal choice for riders who demand reliability in wet or challenging conditions.
Each bearing is pressed into precision-machined aluminum T47 cups that thread seamlessly into your bike’s bottom bracket shell, ensuring an easy and secure installation. Manufactured at Enduro Bearings’ California facility, this component exemplifies meticulous engineering and quality control. The use of LLB seals combined with CRC Marine Grease further enhances its water resistance, protecting the internals from sweat, dirt, and water intrusion.
Enduro Bearings offers a wide range of bottom bracket solutions, but the T47 External stands out for its balance of strength and corrosion resistance. While stainless steel bearings have slightly lower load capacity compared to chromium steel, their ability to resist rust makes them perfect for riders who frequently clean their bikes or ride in wet conditions. Backed by a three-year anti-corrosion guarantee, you can trust this bottom bracket to perform season after season.
Can this bottom bracket be used with all cranksets?
It supports cranksets with axle sizes of 24mm, 29mm (DUB), and 30mm, making it compatible with most modern crank designs for T47 frames.
How does the stainless steel bearing compare to chromium steel?
While stainless steel bearings have about 20% less load capacity and are slightly softer than chromium steel, they offer superior corrosion resistance, making them ideal for wet or high-humidity conditions.
What kind of maintenance does this bottom bracket require?
Thanks to the LLB seals and CRC Marine Grease, this bottom bracket requires minimal maintenance and is well protected against water and contaminants, but regular cleaning and inspection are always recommended for optimal performance.
Where are Enduro Bearings products manufactured?
All Enduro Bearings components, including bottom brackets, are manufactured in their California, USA facility, ensuring rigorous quality standards.
