Fenwick's Professional Protection Coating Trigger Spray is a professional-grade frame and component protectant that bonds permanently to your bike's surfaces, creating an invisible, hydrophobic shield that repels water, dirt, road grime, energy drink spills, and gel residue without altering the appearance of either matt or gloss finishes. It's the kind of product that makes your next clean significantly easier — contaminants simply don't stick the way they do to an unprotected frame.
The coating cures quickly after application, minimising downtime between treatment and riding. Once cured, it forms a durable, permanent bond with the surface that resists the common contaminants cyclists encounter on every ride — particularly useful on areas prone to sticky residue build-up such as the top tube, down tube, and around the bottom bracket. The 250ml trigger spray format gives excellent coverage and is well suited to workshop use or thorough home maintenance sessions, providing more product per application than smaller formats. Safe for use on frames, forks, components, and painted surfaces in both matt and gloss finishes.
Fenwick's is a trusted name in cycle care, and the Professional Protection Coating sits at the top of their frame protection range. Used as part of a regular maintenance routine — apply after a thorough clean, allow to cure, then ride — it significantly reduces the time and effort required for subsequent cleans. Browse the full Fenwick's range or explore our workshop and maintenance collection for complementary products.
Is it safe for matt finishes?
Yes — Fenwick's Professional Protection Coating is specifically formulated to be safe on both matt and gloss finishes. It bonds to the surface without leaving a sheen or altering the appearance of matt paintwork, which can be easily damaged by products not designed for it.
How do I apply it?
Start with a thoroughly clean, dry frame. Spray the coating evenly onto the surface and allow it to cure before riding. For best results, apply in a well-ventilated area and follow the application instructions on the bottle. The trigger spray format makes it easy to apply evenly across large surface areas.
How long does the protection last?
The coating forms a permanent bond with the surface, providing long-term protection. The durability of the protective effect depends on riding conditions and cleaning frequency — reapplication after deep cleans or periodically through the season will maintain the best level of protection.
What contaminants does it protect against?
The coating is specifically designed to repel the contaminants cyclists encounter most frequently: road grime, mud, water, energy drink spills, and gel residue. These are the substances most likely to stain or degrade an unprotected frame finish over time.
