The Fox 34 SL Float FACT GRIP SL 3Pos-Adj Tapered Fork redefines the boundaries of XC and Downcountry riding with its exceptional engineering and design. Built on a full-width 34 chassis, this fork offers up to 130mm of travel, combining lightweight performance with unmatched stiffness and suppleness. Whether you're tackling technical World Cup XC trails or demanding Downcountry routes, the 34 SL delivers precision handling and a smooth ride without compromising weight.
Designed to elevate your mountain biking experience, the 34 SL features a larger volume air spring and a generatively designed arch and crown, optimized for torsional stiffness and weight reduction. The advanced bushing system ensures minimal friction and enhanced smoothness, especially under high-speed, high-load conditions. The innovative GRIP SL damper enhances pedal-to-bump efficiency, providing quicker climbs, harder descents, and faster recovery, making it the perfect choice for endurance racers and avid riders alike.
With a starting weight of just 1475g for the 29" 130mm GRIP SL model, this fork balances weight optimization with increased travel and stiffness, setting a new benchmark in the XC and Downcountry category. Its attention to detail, from the tapered 1.5 steerer to the Kabolt axle system and compatibility with rotor sizes from 180mm to 230mm, makes it a versatile and reliable component for serious riders seeking peak performance and durability.
What makes the Fox 34 SL different from the previous 34 Step-Cast fork?
The 34 SL uses a full 34 chassis rather than the step-cast design, allowing for up to 130mm of travel while maintaining light weight and increasing torsional stiffness by 17%. It also features a larger volume air spring and improved bushing overlap for smoother performance.
Is the GRIP SL damper suitable for competitive racing?
Yes, the GRIP SL damper is specifically designed for short travel XC and endurance racing, offering optimized pedal-to-bump efficiency and a lightweight design that meets the demands of World Cup-level competition.
Can I use this fork with rotors smaller than 180mm or larger than 230mm?
The recommended rotor size range for the Fox 34 SL is 180mm to 230mm to ensure optimal braking performance and fork compatibility.
What axle standard does this fork use?
The Factory Series and Performance Elite models use the Kabolt SL axle system, while the Performance Series uses the Kabolt axle. Both provide secure, tool-free wheel attachment suitable for modern mountain biking.
