The Halo Hex Key Skewers offer a refined upgrade for cyclists seeking enhanced security and sleek design without the bulk of a traditional quick-release lever. Crafted with an anodised alloy end cover and a Cr-Mo threaded rod, these skewers use a convenient allen type Hex key fitting, combining durability and ease of maintenance. Their lightweight construction ensures minimal added weight while maximizing performance.
Equipped with a steel Halo 'no-turn tab', tightening and releasing the skewers becomes much simpler, eliminating the common frustration of the nut spinning freely. In addition, a 15x3mm cone spanner recess is cut into the nut as a backup, ensuring functionality even when the tab cannot be used. Available in a range of vibrant anodised colors or white powder coating, these skewers also feature serrated alloy frame grip surfaces to prevent unwanted movement and enhance stability.
Designed to fit standard dropout sizes, the Halo Hex Key Skewers accommodate front dropouts of 100mm with 6.0mm thick skewer, and rear dropouts of 130mm and 135mm with thicknesses of 9.0mm and 6.5mm respectively. They are engineered for a torque setting of 7Nm, providing a secure hold without over-tightening. Please note the packaging error that mistakenly states 7 ft/lbs; the correct setting is 7Nm.
Can I use these skewers for downhill or aggressive off-road riding?
Halo Hex Key Skewers are not recommended for aggressive off-road disciplines like Enduro or Downhill due to the increased forces that can cause failure. Bikes intended for such use typically require thicker axle systems for safety.
What is the correct torque setting for these skewers?
The correct torque setting is 7Nm. There is a packaging error stating 7 ft/lbs, which should be disregarded. Always follow the recommended 7Nm to ensure secure installation.

In some cases, we may ship items out with another courier, depending on the status and availability of items ordered. (Customers will not be charged more and will be refunded any unused postage cost) If part of an order is cancelled and the total drops below the £50.00 free postage, a postage charge may be taken.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
