xThe Kids Ride Shotgun Quick Fit MTB Tow Rope is the premium tow rope option from Kids Ride Shotgun, designed for parents who want a fast, convenient, and always-accessible towing solution on the trail. The key feature of the Quick Fit is its wearable design — the rope is worn on the parent's body (typically around the waist or over the shoulder), keeping it immediately accessible without needing to dig through a bag or pack. Attachment uses a carabiner and stem loop system that clips to the child's bike stem in seconds, compatible with all bike types. The rope itself is 5mm orange paracord with shock-absorbing stretch built in, which smooths out the jolt when the rope goes taut — preventing sudden yanks on the child's bike and making the towing experience more comfortable for both parent and child. The system is rated to 225kg / 500lb, well in excess of any realistic towing load.
The Quick Fit is the step-up from the standard Kids Ride Shotgun MTB Tow Rope, which uses the same shock-absorbing paracord but without the wearable quick-fit attachment system. If you want the fastest possible attachment and a rope that is always on your person rather than in a bag, the Quick Fit is the right choice. What is the difference between the Quick Fit and the standard MTB Tow Rope?
Both ropes use the same shock-absorbing paracord construction and are rated to the same capacity. The key difference is the attachment system. How does the shock-absorbing stretch work?
The 5mm paracord has elastic stretch built into its construction. When the rope goes taut — for example when the child's bike slows or stops — the stretch absorbs the initial jolt rather than transmitting it as a sudden yank to the child's bike. This makes towing smoother and more comfortable, particularly on technical terrain where speed varies frequently.
Is the Quick Fit compatible with all bikes?
Yes — the stem loop attaches to the child's bike stem and is compatible with all standard bike stems. The carabiner clips to the parent's wearable harness. No tools or permanent modifications are required on either bike.
Can I replace the paracord if it wears out?
Yes — replacement paracord is available separately as the Replacement Tow Rope Paracord, so you don't need to replace the entire system if the cord wears out.

To Qualify for FREE Shipping:
- Your delivery address must be within the United Kingdom Mainland (Channel Islands, Isle of Mann and Scottish Isles are not Mainland)
- Your order, after any discounts, must be £50.00 or over. For all other orders, including those under £50.00 there is a maximum postage charge of £5.99
In some cases, we may ship items out with another courier, depending on the status and availability of items ordered. (Customers will not be charged more and will be refunded any unused postage cost) If part of an order is cancelled and the total drops below the £50.00 free postage, a postage charge may be taken.
Delivery costs will be clearly stated on the checkout page, though you will need to register (to provide your delivery address) in order to see the delivery costs.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
