Engineered with a robust aluminum frame, this model is designed to endure the rigors of aggressive mountain biking while maintaining a balance between strength and agility. Its innovative mullet wheel configuration—combining a 29-inch front wheel with a smaller rear—enhances maneuverability and stability across varied terrain, making it a versatile choice for riders seeking both control and speed.
Equipped with the Shimano CUES U6000 drivetrain, the One-Sixty FR 400 delivers precise and reliable shifting, ensuring smooth transitions even under demanding conditions. The bike’s suspension system features 180mm travel at the front and 171mm coil-sprung travel at the rear, providing exceptional shock absorption and responsiveness. This setup, combined with the Agilometer sizing system, allows riders to customize reach and suspension progression to their riding style, resulting in a tailored and confident ride. Additional technical features such as wire port cable routing and a threaded bottom bracket reflect Merida’s dedication to thoughtful engineering and durability.
Built to meet Category 5 standards, the One-Sixty FR 400 is engineered for the most challenging mountain biking scenarios, from technical descents to rugged bike park sessions. Its powerful disc brakes offer dependable stopping power, enhancing rider safety and control. Backed by a comprehensive 5-year frame warranty, this bike assures long-term reliability and peace of mind for serious enthusiasts. The Merida One-Sixty FR 400 is an excellent investment for riders who demand performance, durability, and adaptability in a single package.
Is the Merida One-Sixty FR 400 suitable for beginners?
While designed for serious trail riders, its durable frame and adjustable sizing make it accessible for confident beginners looking to progress quickly.
