The Merida Reacto 5000 - MY26 Road Bike represents the pinnacle of aerodynamic engineering combined with rider-centric design. Crafted for cyclists who demand both speed and comfort, this model integrates advanced aerodynamic features with practical innovations that enhance every aspect of the ride. Its frame geometry and component selection are optimized to minimize drag while allowing for wider tyres, delivering a smooth, efficient, and responsive cycling experience.
Employing state-of-the-art Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, the Reacto 5000 features innovative elements such as a front Disc Cooler discreetly positioned behind the fork and a rear disc caliper seamlessly integrated into the rear triangle. These design choices, along with new bolt-through axles incorporated into the fork dropout, significantly reduce aerodynamic resistance. This engineering excellence enables riders to sustain speeds of 45 km/h with only 209 watts of power, demonstrating exceptional efficiency and power transfer.
Equipped with the reliable Shimano 105 Di2 electronic shifting system and robust hydraulic disc brakes mounted on the chainstay, this bike offers precise gear changes and dependable stopping power. The flat mount calipers, installed on CNC-machined aluminium Disc Cooler fins, effectively reduce brake temperature by up to 35%, ensuring consistent performance and safety during demanding descents. Designed as a unisex model with 700c wheels, the Reacto 5000 is ideal for cyclists seeking a high-performance road bike suitable for both racing and endurance challenges.
Is the Reacto 5000 suitable for beginner cyclists?
While primarily designed for performance-focused riders, beginners can benefit from its ergonomic comfort and reliable components. However, the advanced electronic shifting system may require some acclimatization.
Can I use this bike for long-distance endurance rides?
Absolutely. The Reacto 5000’s balance of aerodynamic efficiency and rider comfort makes it well-suited for both competitive racing and extended endurance cycling.
