The Merida Silex 7000 Gravel Bike embodies the next step in gravel cycling innovation, building on the acclaimed foundation of its predecessor. This model integrates modern MTB-inspired geometry, featuring a 1.5 degree slacker head angle that enhances stability and control on varied surfaces. Equipped with larger volume 700c tyres, it offers superior traction and comfort across both off-road trails and paved roads. The updated fork design not only elevates the bike’s aesthetic appeal but also supports easy suspension fork swaps, providing adaptability to diverse riding conditions and preferences.
Constructed with a robust aluminium frame, the Silex 7000 is engineered for riders who demand versatility and endurance. It includes multiple bottle bosses and rack mounts, facilitating practical luggage solutions for extended journeys or bikepacking adventures. Internal cable routing accommodates advanced accessories such as dropper posts and dynamo systems, enhancing customization and functionality. The integration of Shimano GRX 822 components paired with hydraulic disc brakes featuring 180mm rotors ensures precise shifting and dependable stopping power, even under heavy loads or challenging terrain.
Tested and proven in competitive environments, notably by Matej Mohoric’s triumph at the 2023 Gravel World Championships, the Silex 7000 delivers race-ready performance with the durability required for demanding gravel rides. Whether navigating rugged trails, embarking on long-distance expeditions, or exploring mixed terrain routes, this bike offers a harmonious balance of comfort, control, and resilience. Its thoughtful design and high-quality construction make it an indispensable tool for serious gravel enthusiasts seeking to push their limits.
