The Race Face Turbine Pedals redefine what it means to ride with flats, delivering an unparalleled locked-in feel while maintaining the freedom that flat pedals offer. Designed specifically for mountain bikers seeking maximum grip and control, these pedals feature a unique 3mm deep concavity that cradles your foot, providing exceptional stability on every trail. Whether you're pushing hard on steep climbs or bombing technical descents, the Turbine pedals keep your feet firmly in place without sacrificing the ease of repositioning or stepping off quickly when needed.
Constructed with a precision-machined 6061 aluminum body, these pedals offer durability and strength without unnecessary bulk. Their asymmetric platform, wider at the front than the back, matches the natural shape of your foot, enhancing comfort and pedal contact. With 11 height-adjustable pins per side, you can customize your grip level to suit your riding style, making the Turbine pedals a versatile choice for riders who demand both performance and adaptability.
Unlike many pedals that rely solely on tall pins or fore-aft concavity, the Turbine's concavity is engineered in all directions, creating a pocket that locks your foot in place from every angle. This thoughtful design minimizes foot slippage and maximizes power transfer, ensuring every pedal stroke counts. The internal construction features a no bearing bump design with an inboard bushing and outboard bearing, allowing a tighter stance and better pedaling ergonomics. Plus, these pedals are fully rebuildable and serviceable, promising longevity and reliability on the toughest rides.
What makes the Turbine pedals different from other flat pedals?
The Turbine pedals feature a unique 3mm concavity in all directions, creating a pocket that locks your foot in place with unmatched grip. Combined with an asymmetric platform and adjustable pins, this design provides a locked-in feel rarely found in flat pedals.
Are the Turbine pedals suitable for beginners?
While the Turbine pedals offer superior grip, they might be too aggressive for some beginners who prefer easier foot release. Riders new to flat pedals may want to consider options with less concavity or grip initially.
Can I adjust the grip of the pedals?
Yes, each pedal has 11 height-adjustable pins per side. You can easily remove or adjust pins with a 3mm hex to customize the amount of grip to your preference.
How durable are these pedals?
The pedals have a machined 6061 aluminum body and a robust internal design featuring an inboard bushing and outboard bearing. They have undergone extensive lab testing and are fully rebuildable, ensuring long-lasting performance.
What colors do the Turbine pedals come in?
They are available in seven colors: Black, Silver, Kashmoney, Purple, Orange, Red, and Blue, allowing you to choose the style that best fits your bike and personality.
