Retaining the durable 6061 T6 forged and machined aluminum alloy hub shells with medium-height flanges, this hub introduces significant internal upgrades that enhance performance and ease of use. Its hollow axle design allows for effortless conversion between bolt-on and quick release setups, making wheel swaps or maintenance quick and straightforward without compromising strength.
Constructed with CroMoly steel axles and high-grade 10.9 stainless steel fixing bolts, the Ultra New hub resists corrosion while providing robust durability and a sleek appearance. The stainless steel bolt caps and heavily knurled cone nuts secure the wheel firmly under high loads, reducing slippage and maintaining axle stiffness through interlocking cones and dust caps. Can I convert this hub to a quick release system?
Yes, the Ultra New hub is designed with a hollow axle that allows easy conversion to quick release by simply removing the fixing bolts and inserting a QR skewer, without any additional modifications.
Is this hub compatible with older Surly New hubs?
Absolutely. Surly offers retrofit kits that include new axles, bolts, bearings, and hardware to upgrade your existing New hubs to Ultra New standards.

In some cases, we may ship items out with another courier, depending on the status and availability of items ordered. (Customers will not be charged more and will be refunded any unused postage cost) If part of an order is cancelled and the total drops below the £50.00 free postage, a postage charge may be taken.
Delivery costs will be clearly stated on the checkout page, though you will need to register (to provide your delivery address) in order to see the delivery costs.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
