Fenwick's Professional Protective Coating is a concentrated frame sealant formulated specifically for matt bike finishes, creating an invisible protective layer that bonds permanently to the surface and provides up to 6 months of protection from stains, road grime, energy drink spills, gel residue, and everyday contaminants. The 100ml format is ideal for targeted application or for riders who want to try the product before committing to the larger 250ml trigger spray.
Matt finishes are notoriously difficult to keep clean — they show contamination more readily than gloss and are easily damaged by products not designed for them. Fenwick's Professional Protective Coating is specifically engineered to address this: it bonds to the surface without leaving any sheen or altering the matt appearance, while significantly reducing the ability of contaminants to penetrate or stain the finish. Application is straightforward — apply to a clean, dry surface, allow to cure, and the coating does the rest. Subsequent cleans become noticeably easier as dirt and residue simply don't adhere the way they do to an unprotected frame.
Fenwick's is a trusted name in cycle care, and the Professional Protective Coating is one of their most popular maintenance products. Used as part of a regular cleaning routine — apply after a thorough wash, allow to cure, then ride — it keeps your frame looking its best for longer. How long does the protection last?
One application provides up to 6 months of protection under normal riding and cleaning conditions. Reapplication after deep cleans or at the start of each season will maintain the best level of protection.
Is it safe for all matt finishes?
Yes — Fenwick's Professional Protective Coating is specifically formulated for matt surfaces and will not leave a sheen or alter the appearance of the finish. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first if you're unsure about your specific frame's finish.
What is the difference between this and the 250ml trigger spray?
The 100ml format is ideal for targeted application or for trying the product. The 250ml trigger spray provides more product for full-bike coverage and is safe for both matt and gloss finishes, making it the better choice for workshop use or riders with multiple bikes.
How do I apply it?
Start with a thoroughly clean, dry frame. Apply the coating to the surface and allow it to cure before riding. For best results, follow the application instructions on the bottle and apply in a well-ventilated area.
